Why natural health? The basic premise behind natural health (as I see it) is to restore balance and health to the body. If you can restore health to the body by changing the diet and taking nutritional supplements, it stands to reason that some of your dietary choices must have something to do with being unhealthy.

You’ve probably heard of Michael Bloomberg, the extremely rich and probably snooty mayor of New York City, who was just elected to his third term even though New York City law limits its mayors to two terms. He managed this by coercing the city council into making an exception for him.

Dear Gerry, I was heartened to see that a response (Joe Pinter’s) to the anti-everything letter was published. I won’t reiterate all Joe’s frustrations with the far right. My primary frustration right now has to do with the right’s opposition to health care reform. It seems to me that in order to curb progress in health reform the right has maliciously tampered with our national ideals.

Editor: I woke up this morning (Nov 11th) to find out that a couple more of our WWII Vet’s had passed away in the night. I don’t think I ever took the time to thank them for their service and sacrifices they made for me and this country. Mason has a history of its residents serving in the armed forces as far back as the civil war, and just about every war and conflict since then.

Veterans Day, Nov 11, 2009, was a particularly poignant tribute to America’s veterans in light of the terrorist massacre at Fort Hood on Nov. 5th that left 13 military personnel dead. That such an event should take place on the Army’s premier base in the middle of a pro-military state like Texas made the massacre even more surreal.
