Butterflies.
We’ve all had them at one time or another.
When we’re nervous.
Or scared.
Anxious.
Or apprehensive.
And usually for a good reason.
First day at school.
Speaking in front of a group.
Jumping off a cliff (into water below, hopefully).
Before a performance.
Before a first date.
Before a first kiss.
Before getting married.
Butterflies.

Avoid Home Damage from Frozen Pipes
I know these 70+ degree days make you wonder why I want to share this with you, but if you were like me you needed a little "brushing up" on what do before serious cold weather hits. Mind Over Matter…
Keeping mind,
A challenge in advancing years is to ignore age, when possible. (Love that welcome sign in Florida: "where mid-life begins at 70.")
To frame the moment, a few nights ago I was immersed in TV political analysis. A "talking head" described Martha Coakley’s futile senatorial campaign: "I wouldn’t call it a Hindenburg campaign or a Titanic campaign.

We’re back to our six-pack of dogs! Z noticed a dog that was out in the wet and cold for two days running. He got some dog food and told me, he was going to go feed the poor thing. However, the poor little thing was in the cab of the pickup upon his return trip.
No name dog!

When Algore invented the internet, he made a few mistakes. This is not necessarily a surprise, coming from a guy who can, with a straight face, claim there is more snow and ice these days because of global warming. Still, it’s irritating.
One of the really big, honking mistakes Algore made is that there is really no easy way to tell if something you find on the internet is true or not.

A Pretty Girl Is Like A Melody
A pretty girl is like a melody that haunts you night and day
Just like the strain of a haunting refrain she’ll start upon a marathon
And run around your brain.
You can’t escape she’s in your memory
By morning night and noon
She will leave you and then come back again
A pretty girl is just like a pretty tune.

Magnesium is a mineral that is often overlooked, particularly in terms of bone health.
Conventional thought considers calcium the most important mineral for bone health. However, the United States has one of the highest intakes of dietary calcium and still suffers one of the highest rates of osteoporosis in the world.
Most people at risk for osteoporosis tend to be deficient in magnesium and tend to have diets low in magnesium and/or high in factors that deplete bone mineral ...

In the two weeks since the devastating earthquake in Haiti, the death toll has climbed to 150,000, and the number of injured is currently estimated to be 194,000. In a country with only 10 million inhabitants, that works out to 1.5% killed and 2% injured.
Take into account that Haiti was already the poorest nation in the western hemisphere and factor in the loss of the infrastructure (water, electricity, food, roads, shelter), and the full magnitude of the damage caused by the 7.0 qu ...
