Mid-winter.Setting sun hits the square.Illuminates the north side.Shimmers off the courthouse tower. And the clock bongs.Five-thirty.Very little activity.Very little traffic. We go home.Like birds burrowing under the trees’ leaves. We close up shop.We tidy our desk.Push our chair in.Make notes for tomorrow. We go to the grocery store before we go home.We go to practice. We go to pick up the kids from pra ...

From time to time, friends offer a subject for me to write about. Most comes in the form of "Pile-of-Ticks!" While I know this is an important factor in our lives today and yesterdays, I just don't do Pile-of-Ticks! Weight is another thing that I don't write about. Religions other than Christian just hold no substance or interest to me.So, what you get is mostly daily stuff.

Citizens of Mason: One of the ways that Mason Church of Christ has been helping the Medina Children’s Home is by allowing them to have six Drop Boxes on our parking lot. They are able to make money from the items donated and placed inside these Boxes. However, some of our members want to remove the Boxes because of all the trash that is being left there including mattresses.

The Mason Punchers Basketball team has kept their defensive motto that they had throughout the entire State Championship run in football…. turnovers!!!! The Punchers faced a good Blanco team with a lot of height and proved that bigger isn’t always better. The shorter but quicker Mason team came out early in the first quarter with a lot of pressure defense and before the night was over would force 22 turnovers with 14 steals.
