I am a mother to an 8 year old autistic son. Routine is everything in our world and now, with summer in play, we are lost. It is very hard to stay busy and active in our community. Not too many people are familiar with my son and unfortunately his environment is a disadvantage at times.

The problem, as I see it, is that my Keen boots have worn slap out. At least, that’s the story I’m going with. When you need an excuse for failure, you grasp at whatever straw is closest, not necessarily the most logical one. Last year, at the Shannon Sporting Clays Media Shoot, my partner, Ed Probandt, and I won first place.

My wife simply can’t abide the thought of the cleaner-upper catching us with a disorderly house…. ***** “Busier than” comparisons brought smiles for the longest stretch, even when we’d heard the e ...

What is more fun than two doxie’s is four doxie’s! Yes, my little four legged girls are really fun. Cousin Louie gives them a look as if to say, “Don’t I have any cousins my size?” However, all four doxie’s think they are the same size as Louie. Sister, JoJo, thought when I told her that I was getting the girls, I was talking about my granddaughter!

I have always heard it said that if you want to catch a monkey, you cut a small hole in a tree, fill it almost up with treats that the monkey cannot resist and wait. The monkey will find the treat filled hole and reach in to grab him a hand full.

Many families have adopted the smart practice of cooking a lot on the weekends so that they eliminate the hassle of meal planning during the busier weekdays. Planning ahead saves you time and money, and helps avoid too many last minute fast food meals! The question that often comes up from this practice is how the meals should be stored.

On occasion, I have learned that such a thing as writer's block occurs and this is the case, more or less, on my next article of the industry development of Erna, which was the establishment of the Leon Gin and Milling Company. I have information but I am unable to closely identify residents with a picture I have, in order.

The days are clear, Day after day, When April’s here, That leads to May, And June Must follow soon: Stay, June, stay! - If only we could stop the moon And June! —-Christina Georgina Rossetti O well. Nobody can stop time. That’s the way it goes. First your money. Then your clothes. But less is more. The hotter it gets— Less is better. Such as haiku. So much can be said with so little words. Our heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful volunteer firefighters from Pontotoc, Castell, LLano, Mason, and Valley Spring for their hard work over several days putting out fires that threatened our home. When I was young, it seemed that the days stretched out in front of me endlessly. If Daddy and Mama told me that we were going to the July Jubilee, and it was the middle of June, it felt like it was years before the time finally rolled around and we could go to the carnival.
