Mason County Livestock Show Results

All told, 95 Mason younsters exhibited approximately 300 animals during the two days of the Mason County Show.

Chama Martin exhibited the Grand Champion Steer, with sister Aspen Martin exhibiting the Reserve Champion. In the Premium Sale Saturday night, the Grand Champion steer was purchased by Jordan Cattle Auction and Harry’s Department Store. The Reserve Champion was purchased by Joe Garza Fence Co.

The Grand Champion Meat Goat was exhibited by Gabe Jennings, with Sierra Martin showing the Reserve Champion Meat Goat. Mason National Bank purchased the Grand Champion Meat Goat, with Dr. Glen Ruthven and Dr. Berklin buying the Reserve Champion.

Alexandra Cope exhibited the Grand Champion Swine, with Aspen Martin exhibiting the Reserve Grand Champion. At the sale, the Grand Champion was bought by June and Jimmy Scripps. The Reserve Champion was purchased by Donop Feed Store, Hill Country Collision and C.A. Simms Construction.

The Grand Champion Angora Goat was shown by Steeley Smith and was purchased at the sale by First State Bank of Central Texas. The Reserve Champion was exhibited by Britney Schovajsa and was bought by Mason Feed Store and The Commercial Bank of Mason.

Sierra Martin was the exhibitor of the Grand Champion Market Lamb, with the Reserve Champion exhibited by Price Ruffin. Gillespie Livestock Auction, Owens Cattle Company and the Summer Kick-Off Lamb and Goat Show purchased the Grand Champion. Mason Bottling Company / Dr Pepper was the buyer of the Reserve Champion Lamb.
