Beth Alm, Tess Geistweidt, Frederica Foster, Mary Carlman, Robert & Jerrie Owens, Jerry Carlman and David Alm met at the National Tax Day Tea Party Event held in Fredericksburg on April 15, 2009. This protest was an interesting combination of people with all age groups and walks of life represented. Mayor Jeryl Hoover dressed as Thomas Jefferson delivered a wonderful speech using several quotes from many of our country’s founding fathers and from the Constitution. Attendees were urged to contact their senators and representatives with concerns and comments about legislation that will affect every single American.
