Commencement ceremonies were held at Reed Arena on the Texas A&M University campus August 14, 2009. Tana Dockal received her BS in Animal Science, minor in Agricultural Economics. She will be continuing her education at A&M Graduate School to obtain her master's degree. Tana is the daughter of Tim and Helen Dockal of Mason and a 2006 graduate of Mason High School. Texas A&M University System Regent Gene Stallings, a former Texas A&M and NFL football coach, had one message for all of the graduates, adopted from the biblical book of Ecclesiastes: Enjoy the work you do. Stallings spoke at convocation Thursday evening before commencement exercises on Friday.
