This has been a very exciting year for junior high technology, as the school won a $200,000 federal grant, The T3 Grant. This grant made it possible to purchase Mac Book carts for computer use in the classroom as well as related materials and training. This has greatly enhanced student access to all that computers and the Internet has to offer in the learning process. Many progressive lessons have already occurred since obtaining the computers in February such as pod cast and imovies. In order to continue the fast track to a technological campus, parent input is invaluable. In conjunction with the Families Together Night held on May 11, there will be a station where parents are encouraged to participate in a survey. The Mac Books will be set up to facilitate this effort. Also, at www.masonisd.net, there is a link to the survey on the home page of the school’s website. Please take time to let us know what you think so that we can better serve the students and subsequently the community.
