It is a sure sign...

Wednesday, July 21, 2010 • Posted July 21, 2010

It is a sure sign of summer in Mason now when the mobile bottling truck pulls into Sandstone Cellars Winery to began bottling the current vintages. People from around the Mason community pitch in to help in the intensive, one-day process, as the wines are pumped from their vats inside the winery, out to the truck, and then bottled, labeled, corked and boxed. This year, Sandstone is using grapes from around the county, and will be producing four different, very distinct wines. Sandstone has worked with local growers to develop the stock needed for their wines, and the many awards they have received around the nation testify to the success of Mason County grapes, and locally produced wines.
