The Smiles on Wheels even held in Mason on July 31st was ,by all measures, a success. Check out our Letters to the Editor to learn just how many people were served, and how many participants on both sides felt about it. Locally, a number of organizations and volunteers made it works as well as it did, and the Mason Community Foundation’s financial support helped make it a reality. Pastor Timothy Scheffel of St. Paul Lutheran Church (front row, left) joined Dr. Glen "Penny" Futhven (back row, middle) and some of the Community Foundation Board members during the event to spotlight the many folks who worked together on the beneficial service to members of the Mason Community. Front row, left to right: Pastor Scheffel, D’Ann Stahl. Rosemary Kruckemeyer and Suzanna Bjork. Back row: Sherry Alexander, Dr. Ruthven and Brent Hinckley.
