Officers and Committee chairmen of the Mason Study Club met recently to plan their upcoming year’s activities. Front row, L-R: Eve Tannehill, Linda Kesler, Jane Shoemaker, Gladys Kaderka, Margaret Brown, and Diane Evans; Back row, L-R: Jean Dudney, Carol Holmes, Sue Kaan, and Mary Polk. Our newest project will be to help first and second grade students with their reading skills and become their "Book Buddies". We are excited about this new project and in working with the Mason ISD in this endeavor. The Mason Study Club’s goal has always been to support the Mason County Library and what better way than to help our students become better readers and give them a love of books! We also plan on having two chili fundraisers on the west side of the courthouse during the year as well as a hot dog booth at Old Yeller Days. All proceeds from these events will support the library and our Book Buddy program.
