This year’s Pennies for Patients Fundraiser, organized by the Mason High School National Honor Society, brought in a total of $2,198.35 dollars over the three week period. High School classes held a competition in order to see who could bring in the most money. The Junior class took first place in raising the most money. Students also voted on and paid for a teacher to "tape" to the wall. Mrs. Keller was the winner and the taping was very successful. The National Honor Society also held a raffle for assorted prizes which was won by Ben Bjork. All funds were donated to the leukemia society. National Honor Society gives a special thanks to the following businesses for their donations: Pizza Wagon, Dr. Pepper, Hinckley’s Country Store, The Cotton Patch, The Mason Gallery, Old Peanut Mill, First State Bank of Central Texas, The Commercial Bank, Mason County Chamber of Commerce. Submitted by National Honor Society Secretary, Celeste Hamilton
