Brenda Comer (left), representative of the Commercial Bank, is presenting Nancy Scholibo, assistant librarian, with book bags and a donation to the Book Hounds summer reading program sponsored by the Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library. Book Hounds is a program independent from Read-to-Swim. Each participant will sign up to read books at home, and each time a reader completes three books, his or her name will be entered into a drawing for one of the iPods to be given as prizes at the end of the summer. Two drawings will be held—one for Grades K-5 and one for grades 6-12. Donna Ingham, a member of the National Storytelling Network and sought-after performer, will kick off the Book Hounds program with a performance at 11:00 A.M. in the Stribling Room on Thursday, June 9.We encourage all students to participate.
