It's Time for the 2008 Civic Awards Nominations
Wednesday, January 14, 2009 • Posted January 14, 2009

It’s that time again! It’s time to honor the Mason people who have helped the community, have done good deeds in the past year or have spent a lifetime in service to the people of Mason and Mason County. Each year the Mason County Chamber of Commerce sponsors the Civic Awards, honoring Mason citizens, which are presented at the Chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner Banquet. It will be held this year on Thursday, February 19th at the M.I.S.D. Cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend and tickets will go on sale at a later date.

The nominations for these three awards (Public Servant of the Year, Citizen of the Year and Hall of Fame) come from you, the general public, and we are asking you to participate again this year by nominating someone in each of these categories. A nomination form can be found in this issue of the Mason County News or picked up at the Chamber office.

Nominations may be mailed to the Chamber at PO Box 156 or dropped off at the Chamber office on the north side of the Square, but they must be received by January 23rd to be considered. If you have any questions, you may contact the Chamber of Commerce at 325-347-5758 or by email at So sharpen up those pencils, fill out a nomination form and get it to the Chamber quick!
