Bluebonnet Study Club scholarship chair, Tanya Lamoreaux (at right), presents a check in the amount of $500 to Amanda McMillan, treasurer of the Mason County Child Welfare Board. These funds will be directed to the Child Welfare Board's Dual Credit Scholarship Program, helping Mason High School students get a good start on their college education. The cost of tuition continues to rise and many students are struggling to afford the dual credit classes. In addition to the check from the Bluebonnet Study Club, Mason Study Club also donated $500 and individual members donated $300 to the scholarship program. Anyone interested in making a contribution can mail a check to Mason County Child Welfare Board, PO Box 75, Mason, Texas 76856.
