Kellie Elizabeth Zesch and James Marshall Weir were married on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Hilda United Methodist Church in Mason. Richard Sechrist officiated. The bride is a daughter of William H. Zesch and Cynthia Jarrell of San Antonio, and a stepdaughter of Amy Zesch and Charles Jarrell also of San Antonio. She is a granddaughter of Blan and Jordan Zesch of Mason. The bride is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and a vice president at Chilton Investment Company in New York, where she manages alternative investments. The groom is a son of Ora and Michael Weir of Naples, Florida. He is a graduate of Duke University and Georgetown University Law Center, and works as an attorney at the New York law firm Bernstein Liebhard LLP. The couple will reside in New York City.The bride’s great, great, great-grandfather, Gottlieb Brandenberger, emigrated from Switzerland to Mason County. Brandenberger purchased the land upon which Hilda United Methodist Church stands on February 12, 1856, and later donated the site to the German-speaking Methodist Episcopal Church. Their first church building was constructed between 1858 and 1862. The church as it stands today was constructed between 1899 and 1905, at a cost of $2,500. Many of Kellie’s ancestors were married at Hilda, including her great-grandparents Edwin A. Loeffler and Ida Brandenberger on January 1, 1913, in a German language ceremony.
