Kurt Hofmann and Kimberly Davis were united in marriage on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Rocky Point Baptist Church in Stephenville, Texas.
Kurt is the son of Bruce and Kerry Hofmann and grandson of Raymond and Odessa Kimbriel , and the late Herbert and Verna Lee Hofmann, all of Mason. Kimberly is the daughter of Brad and Avonna Davis of Denton, Texas.
The Officiant was Pastor Derek Dodson. Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids attending the bride were Joy Jenkins, best friend of bride, Jennifer MacKinney and Erin Martin, sisters of the bride, and Jessica Myers and Heather Libick, friends of the bride. Best Man and Groomsmen were friends of the groom, David Whitsitt, Wyatt Chestnut, Stephen Cohorn, Aaron Jennings, Neil Knauth, and Steve Libick.
The musicians, Matt and Michelle Ellis, provided the processional, “Cannon in D”, and led corporate worship with “How Great Thou Art” and “Made to Worship”.
The Unity Ceremony was adapted to the common interest of rock climbing by the attachment of an “anchor point” to a rock from Kurt’s family ranch. The couple tied a “figure-8 follow through” knot together which is the strongest, most secure knot used by climbers. They each attached their carabineer to the anchor to symbolize their strong bond of love and commitment before God and the congregation.
The couple’s parents joined them for a prayer of blessing over the new husband and wife. The ushers were the couples’ brother-in-laws, and the House Party consisted of Kurt’s sisters. A reception followed in the church social hall.
Following a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple resides in Stephenville, Texas.
