The next time you visit The Mason County M. Beven Eckert Library, look up. You will see a vision of giant letters created by our own Mason Junior High art students. The process to create these artworks included creating an individual letter design and cutting that design out of chipboard. The next step was to attach bracing in between the front and back of the letter by way of small paper cups. The assembly was wrapped with gummed paper tape and then the fun began. Each student embellished their creation using acrylic paints, specialty papers, tissue paper, paint pens, crayons, markers, graphics from printed materials and in some cases glitter. The students were anxious to share their art with our community and hope you enjoy the exhibit.
