Christmas is a time of hope, love, sharing and joy with family and friends. Several of our friends and relatives have lost loved ones in the last few weeks and we as a nation mourn the tragic loss of so many lives in Connecticut. Our hearts are saddened and our stomachs knot up at the thought of such an uncomprehensible act of violence. There are so many unanswered questions. What can we do? We start with what we as Christians know is a “given”….... prayer. Please pray the heartfelt, sincere prayer that our Lord and Saviour will give all those who have suffered tremendous loss the comfort, peace and hope they desperately need at this time and in the future. “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us”. 1 John 3:1

“The angel said unto them, ‘Fear not: behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.’ “ Luke 2:10,11 May the joy of Jesus Christ fill your hearts today and forever. On behalf of Art UMC and Trinity UMC, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Bits of Art and Trinity will return January 9th, 2013, until then…………………….Peace to all.
