Mason's Puncher Pete Returns From Capital One Bowl in Florida
Wednesday, January 16, 2013 • Posted January 20, 2013

Puncher Pete made Mason proud at the Capital One Bowl. As Mason High School mascot, Puncher Pete, Lorri Ann Drazan was one of more than 50 All-American Mascots from across the country who performed in the 2013 Capital One Bowl Pre-Game in Orlando, Florida. The individuals invited to perform were All-American Mascots selected from Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) summer camps across the country. All-Americans are selected via tryout based on their overall character development and crowd leading skills. Only the top 12% of the mascots attending UCA camps earn the chance to perform in this year’s Bowl. The All-American program is now in its 26th year. Lorri Ann traveled to Orlando for a week of rehearsals dedicated to preparing her for the Capital One Bowl pre-game performance. The hours of rehearsals were well worth the effort when she performed in front of tens of thousands of fans at this major college football event. While in town, Lorri Ann also had the chance to visit Central Florida’s famed theme parks at Walt Disney World. Puncher Pete (aka Lorri Ann Drazan) would also like to send out a big THANK YOU to the community for being so supportive in all of his fundraising efforts!
