Central Basin Prescribed Burning Association to Hold 2013 Annual Meeting and Training

The Central Basin Chapter (CBC) of the Edwards Plateau Prescribed Burning Association will hold the 2013 Annual Meeting at the Castell Community Center on February 15, 2013, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The agenda will include election of officers and planning for prescribed buns during 2013. All CBC members and persons interested in joining are encouraged to attend. Following the business meeting, there will be training for conducting a prescribed burn and discussion of the procedures for obtaining assistance from CBC members and using CBC equipment. All members will receive a free copy of the Academy for Ranch Management Prescribed Burning Handbook.

Lunch will be available in Castell (hamburgers, buy your own). At 1:30 p.m., a training burn will be conducted south of and adjacent to Highway 29 just east of Kothmann Road, or 2.0 miles west of Ranch Road 2768 intersection with Highway 29.
