Punchers In Third Place After First Round of District
Wednesday, January 30, 2013 • Posted January 30, 2013

The Mason Puncher Basketball team is in third place after the first round of district and is looking to improve in the second half. Harper is 5-0 in first, Medina 4-1 in second, Mason 3-2 in third, Junction 2-3 in fourth and Center Point and Nueces Canyon tied for fifth 1-4.

The Punchers beat Center Point on Tuesday to secure third and face a tough Harper team on Friday to try and force a three way tie. The Mason players played well, but came up a few rebounds and put backs short of a win.

The Punchers will face Medina this Tuesday and Nueces Canyon on Friday and both games will be out of team. The players won’t be back home until next week when they face Junction on Tuesday and Center Point on Friday. Please come out and support the players as they make their second half push for the playoffs.
