The Wesley Nurse at First United Methodist Church invites you to take part in a free Lunch ‘N Learn program open to all citizens in the Mason area. The program is aimed at providing current information on Advance Directives, Medical Power of Attorney, and Out of Hospital Do Not Resuscitate orders. Decisions related to end-of-life issues are difficult to make and to communicate to loved ones, but it is important to make those wishes and decisions known long before there’s a need to put them into effect. Making those decisions now can spare your loved ones from unnecessary grief at a tender time during emotionally charged situations. Learn how you can have a voice in your medical treatment based on your personal values, beliefs and preferences. Take charge now and eliminate the chance of others, including doctors and judges who do not know you, from making critical decisions for you.
Kathryn Tesch, RN is the Account Executive for Odyssey Hospice in Kerrville, and will bring this program to Mason. The program will be held in the Stribling Room of the M. Beven Eckert Library, on February 21st, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch; beverages will be provided. For further questions or information, please call Ann Scarth, RN at 325-347-5983.
