The Leader in Me Corner
4th Grader at Mason Elementary
Wednesday, February 6, 2013 • Posted February 8, 2013

Mason Elementary has been using The Leader in Me program since school started in August. This program teaches kids character and life skills that help them make good choices, helping them to become better leaders. The Leader in Me program started by students learning about three parts: HABITS- things you do every day, PARADIGMS- like glasses, the way you see the world, and PRINCIPLES-like honesty and responsibility.

We are divided up into small family groups, called Puncher Family Time, made up of kids from all grades, Pre-Kindergarten through 4th. We meet once a month to do an activity that helps us to remember the 7 Habits.

I think the 4th graders are already becoming better leaders just by helping the younger kids learn the 7 Habits. We also try hard to practice the 7 Habits so we can be good role models. I think this program will help us be better leaders and and make us more successful in everything we do.
