Chamber Civic Awards Nominees and Banquet

2012 Civic Awards nominees for the 2013 Chamber Civic Awards Banquet! Please cast your votes before 2/15/13 at 5 p.m.- You can vote via e-mail, mail or just walk your ballots into the Chamber office. All winners will be announced at the 2013 Chamber Civic Awards Banquet that is being held at 6:00 p.m. Feb. 21st 2013 at the MHS cafeteria, tickets only $15.00. The meal is being catered by Willow Creek cafe.

Our theme this year is ‘Just Remember” Don’t miss your chance to “MASTER YOUR MEMORY” as we welcome our special guest Craig Krause with Direct Development Training! This is a family fun night and your chance to support the Outstanding Civic leaders of the community! We will be giving away tons of door prizes as well. See you there!

Business woman of the year:

Public Servant of the year:

Mason Community Foundation- Contributed almost 200,000 k back into the community through grants from the Community Thrift store earnings and donations since 2007.

Rebecca Schuessler- Dedication to Boy Scouts and countless hours working at the Odeon Theater.

Josh Jaquez- Leadership in the community and countless community service hours.

Citizen of the yr:

JW Harle- Young Life

Steve Toone- Wounded Warrior Program

Jerry Bearden- Dedication to the community though various organizations and his position as the County Judge.

Hall of Fame:

Doris Grote-She has lived in mason all of her life, 87 years, and is known to many as the SPIRIT of Mason. As a business owner, a 15 year employee of Mason National Bank and a volunteer for many organizations, her love for Mason is obvious.

Gene Zesch- Has a passion for Mason History and a great dedication to the preservation of Ft. Mason. As a world renowned artist and a successful business man, Gene is proud to attribute such accomplishments to his deep roots in Mason County.

Jack Lee- Has spent his entire life, 86 years, in Mason and has contributed many hours to the community through his service as an attorney and his service in many other community organizations. Many say he truly has a heart of GOLD.
