David Aguero Ramos

David Aguero Ramos, age 76, of Fredericksburg, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013, at Fredericksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 11, at 2:00 p.m. at Mason funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Hector Lopez and Abel Cantu officiating. Interment followed at Bethel Cemetery in Camp Air, Texas.

Pallbeaeres were Adrian Castillo, Jeremy Cantu, R.J. Ramos, David Ramos, Josh Hernandez and Martin Rivera. Honorary pallbearers include his nieces and nephews. Funeral services were entrusted to Mason Funeral Home where visitation was held Sunday, February 10 and Monday morning, February 11. A Vigil service was held Sunday evening with Abel Cantu officiating.

David was born January 6, 1937, in Mason County, the son of Juan Ramos and Bertha Aguero Ramos. Survivors include one son, Richard Ramos and spouse Christa, and their four children, Deitra, Sky, Kyah and Rayn all of Fredericksburg; and two daughters Melissa Stanton and spouse Raymond, and their four children Zack, Zoey, Zaylie and Zara, all of Fredericksburg and Michelle Phillips and spouse Michael of Fredericksburg. David is also survived by three brothers and one sister; George and Lydia Ramos of Fredericksburg, Frank Hernandez and wife Paula of Mason, Jack and Corrina Hernandez of Eden, Texas and Frances and Victor Castillo of Mason. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Bertha Ramos, two brothers, J.B. Ramos and Tony Ramos and a sister Irene Herrera.

David loved the Lord. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and singing for family and friends. He loved playing the guitar when he was able, and enjoyed listening to his grandsons, whom he taught, play the guitar.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
