The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, February 5th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 38 members in attendance.

Lion Pat Reardon was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.

A new and improved version of the Pedia-Vision machine was discussed. The club may be able to obtain one at very little cost, with trade in or sale of the old model, and grants for Lions Foundations. This matter will be researched and reported on later.

The Club will use the $806 made from the Pancake Supper to give two $500 scholarships to two seniors who have volunteered their time to help make Mason a better community.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, February 12th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Joel Kuykendall.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
