"Down the Drain with Jane"
Wednesday, February 20, 2013 • Posted February 20, 2013

The reunion of the golden threesome had to be postponed due to the sickness of Pat. Pat insisted that the two of us could go on with the plans, but not good unless all three of us could be there.

There is a specific drawer in the kitchen called the “Bread Drawer.” I bought a loaf of bread around the 1st of January. Has a stamp on it that says sell by January 5th. The loaf still lives. No mold seen on any of the slices, either. Refraining from eating bread I haven’t checked it much. Only about three slices have been consumed. No, it hasn’t been in the refrigerator, either. With all the preservatives that must have gone into this loaf of bread, I’m sure it will petrify before it molds!

Perhaps they put embalming fluid in it. However, or whatever, they are putting in bread these days needs to make us aware of maybe there is danger! It’s like that Pumpkin that you get in the fall and is still holding up at Easter!

Speaking of Easter, 10 to 1 the stores already have the Easter baskets and candy out. Now is a good time to buy Valentine's candy. Just put it in an Easter Dish!

P.S. According to “Grandpa’s Country Wisdom:” “When you're green. you grow. When you think you are ripe, you get rotten.”
