Rep. Conaway To Hold Service Academy in San Angelo

March 2 event will provide info on applying to U.S. service academies

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative K. Michael Conaway (R-Texas) announced today that he will hold a Service Academy Day at Angelo State University in San Angelo on Saturday, March 2.

This event will provide parents, students and educators with information about the nomination process for our nation’s service academies. A nomination from a member of Congress is required to be considered for an appointment to the following service academies: West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

The Service Academy Day will be held from 1:30-4 p.m. at Angelo State University, MCS Building room 100, 2200 Dena Dr., San Angelo. Representatives from the offices of U.S. Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, the ROTC, and the service academies will also be in attendance.
