Sheriff Nixon 3

Sheriff Buster Nixon, I was very pleased to read your recent letter to the editor. For those of us that believe the Constitution is still as relevant today as the day it was written, it is comforting to have an elected official take to heart the oath they have taken. If only all of our elected officials would take that oath seriously. I read our Constitution on a regular basis. It is in one of my pockets or close by at all times. We are extremely fortunate that our founding fathers wrote such a great document.

They knew that the right to bear arms was one of our most important rights and without an armed populace a free society would not last long. Read the many writings of these men in regards to the right to bear arms. They were not worried about hunting. Its all about freedom and our, not the governments, ability to keep our freedom. Power corrupts and our founding fathers knew it.

Sheriff Nixon you have my support
