I don’t think playing “Kissy Mouth” is a spectator sport. However, there are some gestures that I find very good. I like to observe people and that I did in Church on this Sunday. I did hear the message: “Love one another!” But, as I looked around, (didn’t look in back, as that would be considered “rubber necking.”). I saw couples that sat there like bumps on a log. There was no signs of admiration, at all. Then I saw couples, that he had his arm around his wife. OH, how sweet! He wasn’t giving her a full upper body rub down. Just a loving touch of admiration was shown.
I know that some are, as my mother put it, “Street angels and home devils” but what I observed was pure affection without the gushy mushy stuff.
I hope this doesn’t fall on deaf ears and I see more arms around the little woman!! When standing with your sweetheart, don’t put your arm around her, it pushes her down and it is uncomfortable. Just put that arm around her middle.
I’ll be looking and seeing just who and who doesn’t read “Down the Drain?!”
P.S. According to Grandpa’s County Wisdom: “The difference in know how and wisdom is in the doing.”
