Wednesday, March 6, 2013 • Posted March 6, 2013

Joan Lindley and Dolores Keller are holding the open sign of Mason

County Museum, showing that the museum is open again after the winter break. Standing with them under the new sign on Post Hill Street are, Fran Hoerster, George and Judy Schoenfeld and Historical Society President, Charles Eckert.

Beginning in the fall of 2011, open dates changed to begin March 1 and to close November 15, with hours set at 11:00 to 4:00, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Members of the museum committee met February 13 for their first

meeting of 2013 and re-elected Nancy Jordan as chairman, Dolores Keller as co- chairman and Lou Fleming as secretary. The newly elected treasurer is Joan Lindley.

A general clean up of the museum was held Wednesday during which

time the lobby area was arranged more spaciously and where a large print of Robert E. Lee was hung. This picture was a recent gift from Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Wentworth.

Persons interested in working with the Mason County Museum may contact Nancy Jordan at 347-6674 or Dolores Keller at 347-6681. The museum personnel are looking forward to the new season and invite all to visit.
