Courthouse Patience
Wednesday, March 13, 2013 • Posted March 13, 2013

Pat Dixon, Sheila Innis from Mason and Jane and Otto Hallberg from Katy came to the Paint & Sip to capture our Mason Courthouse in a painting.

Guided by Bridget Langdale, the background of our blue Texas Sky was first painted on the canvas. Pecan trees were added and then slowly the structure of the building was laid between the trees with a stone walk way leading up to the door. One may look at the courthouse for years and not know how many windows are on each side of the door, but creating a painting opens your eyes to details of tree shapes and architectural aspects.

It was a fun time. Come join us next time. Classes will be the first weekend of April. Check out Flyers which are in windows of several Mason stores on the square. “Promise…no experience needed” and we supply all materials. Cost is $25 and you can Bring your own Beverage.
