Last week Z got a new knee! So far so good. He’s been better than I had expected. He’s not a “cry baby!” Spending most of last week in San Angelo was good, as I did get some time off to shop and rest until my duties of “Care Giver” kicked in. It was my first time to drive in San Angelo. Monday, I got three honks, Tuesday, there were two and Wednesday only one. Thursday, they must have gotten use to me because not one honk did I get.
Thanks to Bryson, my grandson, there was a Down The Drain last week. Seems he likes to embellish, just wonder where he gets that from? Honey, our walking canes don’t rust. We don’t leave them outside and we just don’t get that much moisture in these parts. However, the clean air was true. Seems teens think anything over forty is OLD! They’ll come around one of these days, I did and now forty is really young!
The dogs were just fine when we got home, thanks to Caleb! They were anxious to see us. Wonder if they thought we’d never come back? No, dogs know that you’ll be back. Especially Cousin Louie, as the pickups were still here. He knows Z wouldn’t just pick and leave for good without Blue! Dogs are smart you know!
The rain was a welcome sound! The ground just sucked it in. I hope all of the folks sent their thanks and appreciation to the highest Boss??
P.S. According to, “Grandpa’s Country Wisdom:” “The best time to stop talking *** once you’ve said all you know.”
