2nd Chance Animal Rescue - "Prevent a Litter, Fix your Critter"
Wednesday, March 13, 2013 • Posted March 15, 2013

By now you have probably noticed the green signs around town advising folks to “Prevent a litter, Fix your critter.” The signs are part of Second Chance – Mason Animal Rescue’s yearlong campaign to encourage spaying and neutering.

If you would like to show your support for the project please stop by and pick up a yard sign at either Topaz Confections or the Strategic Oilfield Services office. Both locations are on the square and there are plenty of signs available.

The free spay/neuter campaign for income eligible Mason residents is off to a great start. If you are interested in having a cat or dog spayed or neutered and have not had a chance to sign up yet, please contact Carol Kothmann at 347-5598, Karen Welch at 347-6929, or Audrey Morquecho (Wednesday through Friday) at 347-2553.

The pet of the week this week is Suzy Q, a sweet female Beagle blend. Suzy Q is about three to four years old. She is very friendly and gets along with other dogs.

If you are interested in adopting Suzy Q or any of the other animals available through Second Chance, please visit our webpage at or Second Chance’s Facebook page.
