Melba Rae Sgamba

Melba Rae Sgamba, 73, went home to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 14, 2013. Melba was born in Porterville, California, on August 15, 1939, to Stanley and Lois Sullivan. She was preceded in death by both parents.

She is survived by her children: Debra Gayle McNutt, Michael Duane Pitts and wife Sandy, Stacy Lynn Johnson and husband Bob, Joseph Everett Perry, Randall Wayne Perry and Yvette Renee Entracaso. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Nicole and Shawna, Randy, Michael and Vanessa, Brandi and Robert, Haley and Taylor, Dustin and Cody, 14 great-grandchildren: Cameron, Hadley, Brianna, Jasmine, Alex, Mimi, Katie, Savannah, Jazlyne, Stachia, Andrew, Kylee, ShawnaLeigh and Orion along with her only sister Donna Gayle Maravilla and husband Frank and their children Kammi, Kathy, Cindy, Nick and Angie as well as many more loved family members.

Melba was very much loved and will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services were held graveside at the Gooch Cemetery in Mason on Monday, March 18, with Pastor Dave Benefield leading the services. Visitation with the family was Monday morning at Mason Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were Bob Johnson, Robert Velasquez, David Hanscheck, Michael Hanscheck, Tom Feagins and Hugo Martinez. Honorary pallbearers were Michael D. Pitts, Joseph E. Perry, Randall W. Perry, Dustin Entracaso, Cody Edsell and Nick Gorbunoff.

Memorials in her honor may be made to Hill country Memorial hospice, 808 Reuben St./P.O. box 835, Fredericksburg, TX 78624.
