The Celebration of St. Patty's
Wednesday, March 20, 2013 • Posted March 20, 2013

St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated on Sunday March 17 at Tom Titus’s Flat Tire Ranch, organized by Irishman Tony Platino. This saint’s religious feast day was acknowledged by observing a beautiful sunset and an amazing display of stars. Telescopes, binos, opera glasses, plus apps on iphones were used to see and be amazed at the display of stars, satellites, a comet, shooting stars, a space station….and Jupiter dancing with the moon. There was a little bit of Irish in this group of friends who came together for a toast, laughter and a great time. St. Patrick’s Day usually falls during the Christian season of Lent….no meat was eaten… but a tad bit of green beer, cheese, and wine were consumed. “May the Mason hills caress you. May her granite outcrops and rivers bless you. May the company of friends enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.” By…..Bridget Langdale
