Linkster's Take First Place Honors at District

The Punchers and Cowgirls took First Place honors at the District 29A golf tournament Monday. The girl’s second team placed third and the boys second team placed fifth. Jeff Williams was second medalist, Katherine Koock was second medalist, Michaela Martinez third and Katie Smith 4th.

The Puncher first team was made up of; Chris Gray, Samuel Martinez, Kirby O’Connell, Daniel Parker and Jeffrey Williams.

The Puncher second team was made up of; Charles Martinez, J’Angelo Martinez, Jacob Moreno and Ryan Wartenbach.

The Cowgirls first team was made up of; Shelby Breckenridge, Jackie and Lorri Ann Drazan, Michaela Martinez and Katherine Koock,

The Second team was made up of; Amber Hengst, Paris Jones, Katie Smith and Jayde Witt.

The Punchers and Cowgirls will be competing in the Region 4 golf tournament on April 15th and 16th in Brenham. Joining us at Regionals will be the, “short horns” from down the road in Harper. The short horns took second place in both divisions. I would like to thank Sheila Innis, Mona and David Hyde and Kade Burns for acting as group monitors during the tournament and for putting up with 31 degree temperature at tee off time.
