The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, April 2nd, for its monthly business meeting. There were 30 members and four visitors in attendance. Among the visitors were two Mason High School seniors, Margaret Lemke and Rio Schmidt; and, two Grace Christian School seniors, K. C. Coleman and Gabe Jennings.

"Boss" Lion Pat Reardon was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.

The upcoming hamburger lunch fundraiser was discussed. It was reported that six members will be attending the District 2 1A meeting in Midland, Saturday, April 6th. This group will be the voting delegates for the Mason Lions Club and will be supporting John Gammill in his bid for the office of District Governor and Lion Mike Butler from Kerrville for 2nd V.P. of the International Organization.

Meeting adjourned with no further business.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, April 9th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be John Palacio.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
