Lisa Ramirez brought her 12 year old daughter Naty to a Paint & Sip art experience. The class was on a Thursday but early from 6-8 so that homework and regular school night hours were kept.

Chris Keating arrived with enthusiasm to paint and then, after the class, he and Bridget, the instructor, took work to show to others at Sandstone Wine Café.

This evening's painting was a replica of an impressionist Matisse painting. In the class the color wheel was reviewed, mixing of colors to achieve a certain value, color, comments on design composition and learning to see shapes….shapes…shapes. This abstract/impressionist painting was of a lady and we added the red lips.

It seemed that each painting started to reflect images of very unique personalities. Spontaneously we each knew the name of the ladies in the painting. Lisa had CARLOTA, Chris painting was ASTRA, Bridget’s was ZSA-ZSA, and Naty’s painting was of ANTARES. The extra painting at the bottom was of VIOLA.

Our next classes this month will be Friday, April 19 (6-8pm) and Sunday, April 21st (3-5pm). Give Bridget a call to reserve your spot…325-805-1176.
