Wednesday, April 17, 2013 • Posted April 20, 2013

Kay Hudler is the first honoree to be given the “Champion of Education” award from the Kerrville Families and Literacy, Inc. Kay was psychotherapist in Houston for over 20 years. She also volunteered at the Houston Women’s Home where she helped women learn life skills and get their GED. Kay served on the board of Families and Literacy from 2008-2010 where she literally put the organization back on its financial feet with her tireless fundraising and personal support.

Since moving to Mason in 2011 Kay has provided Life Coaching through Hilda United Methodist Church at no cost to local residents, and she is currently a volunteer for the Spanish to English classes that are being offered through the Friends of the Library and the M. Beven Eckert Library.
