Second Chance Animal Rescue - Molly
Wednesday, April 17, 2013 • Posted April 20, 2013

Second Chance – Mason Animal Rescue wants to remind everyone about the free spay/neuter program for income eligible residents of Mason County. Dog owners have been busily taking advantage of the program but there have not been many cat owners signing up.

So if you have a cat, particularly a female cat that is outdoors, this is a great opportunity to prevent unwanted litters of kittens. And there is still opportunity for dog owners to take advantage of this great program.

Spaying and neutering your pet provides many benefits for the animals and can prevent or reduce some nuisance behavior. It also helps keep unwanted puppies and kittens out of the city pound.

For more information about the program or to sign up please contact Karen Welch at 347-6929, Carol Kothmann at 347-5598, or Audrey Morquecho (Wednesday – Friday) at 347-2553.

Second Chance’s pet of the week this week is Molly, a 9 month old female Lab blend. Molly is a dear who just wants attention and lots of playtime. She has been confined to a backyard and given little attention so she will take some training and patience.

Molly can get over fences so she would work best as an indoor pet. She would love to have the company of another dog or active family. She has plenty of puppy energy still so regular exercise will be a must.

If you are interested in being a foster or forever family for Molly, please contact Second Chance at 347-6929 or visit Second Chance’s website at
