As everyone is probably aware, the Wild Flowers of Mason County were some of the best in our region! Though the bluebonnet crop is smaller compared to previous years, our landscape is still beautiful and filled with Wild Flowers. We have had visitors in Mason from many surrounding counties, 12 other states and five different countries this spring alone. The Chamber has handed out 600 county maps and we have helped hundreds of people scout the best bluebonnets in the County. Many of our guests stayed the weekend, hunted for Topaz, shopped the square, dined in our fabulous restaurants, stayed in our 40 beautiful lodging facilities and so much more. We hear countless folks brag on our beautiful community and part of that beauty is the unity and friendliness of our residents, keep up the GOOD work Mason!

Chamber Events:

Just a reminder to everyone that Round-up is approaching very fast (July 12th-13th) and we are asking everyone to turn in all applications for Arts and crafts/food booths on the Square, The Great American Jackass Race and Parade as soon as possible.

Those applications are available online and at the Chamber office!! The momentum is already building and the vendor spots on the lawn are going FAST! The cost for locals to have a booth is just $40.00 plus 10.00 if electricity is required. For vendors residing out of Mason, the charge is $55.00 per booth space plus $10.00 for electricity. We ask this year that the MAX number of items to be plugged in for each booth (hotplates, etc.) is 2. We have had some electricity issues in the past that we are trying to avoid if possible this year.

Our Spring Mixer this year was a hit and the crowd at Uptown 244 (Ft. McKavitt)enjoyed great food, door prizes from The Thing Is Boutique and great fellowship with other Chamber members. We are working on an EXCITING summer “Karaoke Night at NorthSide” Summer Mixer, details to come VERY soon! If you are interested in hosting a Chamber Mixer please contact us and we will put you on the waiting list. Mixers are a very good way to promote your business and educate the community in a social relaxed setting.

The Mason County Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone that donated to the Explosion Victims in West, Texas. This community ALWAYS pulls together to help our community as well as others in need.
