The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, April 30th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 31 members and one visitor in attendance.
Lion Larry Spell was responsible for the program and talked about history repeating itself.
Larry gave several examples, of which it seems, that history repeats itself. Then, he spoke about examples where you could say that history never repeats itself. We all pretty much decided that although it seems to repeat itself, history is history and new history is made every day.
The Mason Community Foundation made a presentation of $1,650 to the Club, of which $1,000 is to be used for the eye machine, and $650 for the Chiptimer for the 5K-10K Walk-Run.
The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, May 7th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program will be the monthly business meeting.
The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
