Brie Lynn Lehmberg and Joshua Michael Foster were united in marriage Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the old Voca schoolhouse in Voca,Texas. Judge Fritz Landers preformed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Brad and Terry Lehmberg , grand-daughter of Kenneth and Bonnie Davis and the late Rae and Lou Lehmberg, all of Mason. The groom is the son of Charles Foster of Minneapolis ,Minnesota, and Dana Atchison of Mason, grandson of Judy Hanks of Voca,Texas, and the late Leon Atchison.
Maid of Honor was the bride's life-long friend, Ashley Scantlin. Flower girl, Briley Sizemore, is the daughter of the bride. The Best Man was the groom's Uncle Jim Roy Atchison. The ringbearer was son of the bride, Drake Sizemore.
The ceremony was held under an old oak tree, with the couple surrounded by friends and family. The reception was held in the schoolhouse gymnasium. Turquoise and burlap adorned the tables with candle-lit oak center pieces accented with sunflowers and Gerber daisies. The guests enjoyed good old fashioned BBQ brisket and sausage with homemade potato salad and pinto beans.
The bride's cake was a three teir, with white butter cream icing with navy trim and an assortment of candy and sprinkles made by local artist Jennifer Smith-Barros. The groom's cake was a delightful chocolate cake with a life-like large mouth bass rising out of the center with beautiful detail which represented the groom and bride’s son's love of fishing.
The couple will reside in Mason, Texas, with the bride's children, and they are patiently awaiting their new addition, arriving this summer.
