On Friday, May 10th, the Mason 6th Grade Band and Junior High Band traveled to Brownwood to perform at the Howard Payne Band Festival. This festival is a lot like the UIL contest that the high school band attended in April. Each bands’ performance is rated by three judges. Both of these bands received straight division 1 ratings for their performances on Friday. “These groups have definitely come a long way this year and it is so much fun for me to get to work with such wonderful students. I am proud of each and every one of these kids for the amount of hard work and effort they put into their performances!” said Molly Dye.
