"Down the Drain with Jane"

I knew there was another reason for Winter that I liked. Snakes are not out roaming around!!!!! My little Rojo dog got snake bitten last Thursday. It was a small one, but never the less it was potent. You see, the dogs are our door bell. So when I heard them barking I went to the back door to see who was there. No car, but right at the back door was a rattlesnake. Oh, how I hate those devils!

Thank goodness for cell phones. As I had nothing to kill it with and really didn’t want to go out side and try. I called Z and he came and killed it. Cousin Louie had pawed it enough that it wasn’t going too far, according to Z.

Rojo might be coming home today. He got it in the mouth. Thanks to Doc. Andy and his ICU unit, Rojo has been in good hands. Rojo is a hero, as he took the strike for me and his buddies!

Z is still on the kick that I need to put Cousin Louie on a diet. Maybe, when I put Louie on a diet, I might need to put Z on a shorter leash?

P.S. According to GRANDPA’S COUNTRY WISDOM: “Cream rises to the top but so does some other crud.”
