The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, May 7th, for its monthly business meeting. There were 36 members and one visitor in attendance.

"Boss" Lion Pat Reardon was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.

It was reported that we made about $1,100 on the last hamburger lunch and we would schedule another the 7th of June.

The club donated $25 for a pair of eyeglasses for a Mason County citizen. Lion Fritz Landers reported that the students at Grace Christian School were screened with the Pedia-Vision machine, with one referral. Lion John Gammill had screened the students at Steady Steps during the morning; and, he was scheduled to to to Little Punchers next week.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, May 14th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Ted Smith.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
