Long Mountain Memorial Services
Wednesday, May 22, 2013 • Posted May 22, 2013

Bill Hight, with the assistance of his grandson, Aiden Sharabba of Houston, will conduct Memorial Day Services at the Long Mountain Cemetery, Monday morning at 9 AM, May 27, 2013.

The subject will be comparisons of the two Armies in accordance to numbers in service and losses in the Civil War. There are three Civil War veterans buried at Long Mt., being Henry Woodward, my great grandfather of the 24th Texas Calvary and D. C. McWherter, of the Arkansas Light Artillery, both of the Confederate Cause and Cornelius Moses Jackson, who was with the 90th Ohio Regiment, dedicated to the Union Cause.

We will have hot coffee and cold water along with fresh baked homemade cookies (in somebody's kitchen). We would appreciate your attendance, as we are trying to make this an annual event. We will have seating.
