The Jr. High Cowgirls and Punchers competed in the Sonora Invitational last Monday and had a rain out in Llano on Thursday. The Purple team participated in Sonora and the Cowgirls took 3rd place honors. Kym Danz was 4th individual and Margaret Graves placed 3rd. Due to sharing with little league baseball, the Punchers did not have enough players to field a team but Ty Ellebracht , Leonel Blas and Chase Pawvlik did a good job. Our scores continue to improve by high school I see some athletes that will be good contenders.

On Monday, May 13, the Cowgirls and Punchers headed off to Kerrville for the Warrior Invitational. The Cowgirls placed fourth out of eight teams. Participating were Margaret Graves who was low for the Cowgirls with a score of 59, Kym Danz, Steele Smith, Regan Palacio, Jenna Johnson, Lexie Bingham, and Marina Ramon.

The Punchers White team placed third. Grant Sanders was low for the white team with a score of 55, Riley Pape, Austin Habecker, Chase Pawvlik and Bode McMillan. The Purple team placed 7th. It was made up by Ty Ellebracht, Stran Stultz, Cason Dudney, Leonel Blas, Jorge Lopez and Truman Magnus.

As I mentioned, the Llano Invitational was rained out and rescheduled for Tuesday, May 21.
